Connecting MAC OS version X
You
should choose DHCP IP address configuration, which will be done in Step 5 below.
Tip: Your ISP provides DNS addresses automatically.
1) From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.

2) From the View menu,
choose Network.

Choose Built-in Ethernet from the Show pop-up
menu (the Configure pop-up menu prior to Mac OS X 10.1).
4)
Click the TCP/IP tab, if necessary.
5)
Choose Using DHCP from the Configure pop-up
menu.

6) You
can ignore the DHCP Client ID field and the Search Domains field.
7)
Click Apply Now.
8)
Once you have entered these details click the 'Apply Now' button. Then close
this window.
You may be presented with
a save dialogue box:

8)
Simply click the 'Save' option to save the changes you have made.
9) Open
a Web browser or other TCP/IP application to test your connection to the
Internet.
